This story really hits home for me. When I was a young man in college a similar thing happened to me. I committed no crime and had witnesses with me but it made no difference. I was charged with bogus charges and told by my court appointed attorney that even though I was obviously not guilty that the court would take the officers word and the best I could do was accept a plea deal. I had to do 3 months probation for the crime of being a young man. I hate cops to this day.

@dre-p3058 Did not work that way and still not that way. Yes in theory they are supposed to prove your guilt. In reality defending yourself against crooked cops who are willing to lie is something only the wealthy can afford. Basically I entered a room with a large table with people around it i have no idea who they were and at the head of the table was the judge who never looks at you and basically tells you what you are guilty of and ask if you accept the plea deal. you tell him you do and they give you the charge and promise it will not be on my record. They have you by the balls and they know it. Without something like video evidence and a lot of money to fight it is just your word against theirs.
