  1. The average Russian is as detached from this as the average American is detached from the actions of our government. We are all safe as long as we don't draw the attention of officials. Russia or US you are safe as long as you do as you are told and don't threaten the status quo.

  2. Why should Russia be different than the USA? The vast majority of Americans believe what they are told by the main stream media. We are all safe to think as we like as long as it does not threaten those in power.

  3. I think we should be paying more attention to what is happening here at home. The sad truth is that Russia is copying the US model. It is mighty hard for us to criticize the rest of the world.

  4. Meanwhile here in the USA governors all over the country are passing laws to silence protest and make unauthorized public gatherings illegal with up to 5 years imprisonment. The average Russian is as blind to what their government is doin as is the average American.
