  5. Same problem we have in the United States, primarily Southern states. Large portions of the population will not take the vaccine.

  6. The hospitals have to create an infectious disease ward to deal with Covid patients. They have to be isolated from the general public. So what they are saying is that the portion of the hospital that has been created to deal with infectious disease is 75% occupied.

  8. That is not how it works. Infectious wards are set up for the Covid patients. They are in addition to ICU. Often you will see these wards set up as tents because the hospital has no room to set up an area large enough to deal with the number of cases. So the hospitals still have an ICU that is in use as well as the influx of Covid patients. Now can you understand why they are stressed and understaffed? 2/3 of beds allocated to infectious disease are full.

  10. I feel for you. It must be very hard in India on one hand the official government covid count is telling you caseloads and deaths are low while in reality there has been nearly 4 million covid deaths in India.

  12. When times are hard the administration in power will be blamed whether it is their fault or not. Problem with this of course is that they are often replaced with someone even worse.
