True, In America we are so blind to the impact of climate change that most don't understand the amount of food we get from California and the midwest which has been suffering years of catastrophic drought.

@cageybee7221 You seem to be missing the point. Climate change is not only affecting California. For instance the world's largest producer of pistachios is Iran. Iran is heavily dependent on its shrinking water supplies. It experiences frequent droughts and faces the prospect of more extreme conditions brought about by climate change.

@cageybee7221 well I guess maybe things better in China and can buy pistachios from them. However, the issue of drought still remains in China. Earlier in 2010, China faced another severe drought that affected eight provinces in the People's Republic of China's northwestern region. It was the country's worst drought in 60 years, affecting most of the country's wheat-growing regions.
