  3.  @emilsinclair4190  There is such a glut in oil that they are literally paying countires to take it because there is nowhere to store it. Large numbers of tankers are sitting in the ocean full of oil with nowhere to go. Fossil fuels days are ending.

  4.  @emilsinclair4190  No it is not just because of covid. This was before Covid. We have been drill crazy for years and have a glut in oil. Fossil fuel consumption is down because need for it is going down.

  5.  @sommmeguy  coal is in decline it currently produces only 23% of electricity in the US and that number is dropping rapidly. And you are really using the governments failure to maintain our dams as a reason why hydroelectric is bad?

  6.  @eogg25  Interesting you can define the problem and in the next sentence say "green people are phony". Why not an all of the above strategy? Many Americans understand how real climate change is and are reducing use of fossil fuels in their personal lives. That's a good thing. Why complain about that?

  7.  @emilsinclair4190  I don't know what you mean by negative. The world currently has so much oil in reserves that it would literally kill us all long before we could burn it.

  8.  @emilsinclair4190  no it won't because if we continue as we are now most of us will be dead in 50 years. Trust me there is no shortage of oil. That is why we are in so many wars. Not to get more oil, but to control the supply and fix the price. Same as they do with diamonds. Diamonds are not rare they just control the supply.

  9.  @sommmeguy  If you are thinking of the 3 gorges dam in China the problem is that it was poorly constructed in the first place. As far as dams in the US the only problem is we don't invest in infrastructure. That is why our bridges, dams and roads are falling apart. We need a massive Federal jobs program to rebuild our crumbling infrastructure.

  10.  @sommmeguy  China is heavily invested in green energy. They are well aware 1. Climate change is real and their air is deadly. 2. The future is in green technology and the country that leads the way will lead the world.

  11.  @sommmeguy  takes 20 years to complete a nuclear station and get it on line. More stations not an answer are they? Let me ask you. Is Fukushima considered a "modern" nuclear power station?
