  2. Lots of people won’t do anymore than they have too. California has about 50% of welfare in the country and when you subsidize something you get more of it. Since the “Great Society” programs of LBJ, over 20 trillion dollars has been spent on welfare programs. This is money that could have been left in the pockets of the producers that would have provided investment for real jobs in the real economy instead of providing incentives for doing less. Get rid of all the government “assistance” (at least half is soaked by the bureaucracy) and you will see a lot of crack heads and bums go to work.
