  1. She needs to get off the environmental damage narrative. Farming in this country is very efficient. Fertilizers and pesticides are very expensive and practically all of it goes directly where it is needed. The run off into the rivers and lakes is an old canard that is always dragged up but that is rare and even if a fraction of fertilizer did go into the lakes, this would in most cases be beneficial. Most people don’t know that in most cases lakes, rivers and aquatic life would benefit from some fertilizer. In fact, estates with well managed pond systems usually fertilize them some throughout the warmer times of the year.
