  1. The problem here is in the dating which has been proven to be inaccurate. Several times rocks from new volcanic eruptions have been dated hundreds of thousands to millions of years old.

  2.  @jeffmacdonald9863  If the measured date fits their hypothesis it is used. if not it is ignored. Carbon 14 has a half life of only ap. 7,500 years and all practically all organic substance including diamonds that are supposed to be many millions of years old, still have carbon 14 in them which would all be gone in less than 100 thousand years.
