If you look at the U.S. from the 1800’s to into the early 1900’s before the advent of seed (vegetable) oils and the reduction of saturated fats, the death rates from micardial infarction, diabetes and cancer were all very low. Plant diets are very deficient in quality proteins and in vitamins A,D,K and E. and most B vit. Critical B12 only comes from plants and plant sources of omega 3 are not absorbed well. Dr. Sardino MD has explained that you can get enough omega 3 from just eating meets. Beef tallow is especially good.
