Contrary to what Zeihan says, only government can cause inflation because only massive debt monetization causes depreciation of the fiat currency (inflation) as wealth is transferred to the insiders at the top. It is only a matter of time before this wealth transfer process is escalated by anther external “conflict” or internal problem such as a new “virus” which will cause huge borrowing in order to launder money to the insiders whom Zeihan works for.
