  2. Just for the record, nothing spins in "mph". These are the units of linear velocity and angular velocity and tangential linear velocity are not the same thing. The correct value for the angular velocity of the Earth is 0.000073 radians/sec. Take care.

  4. To answer your question. The water in the tank will be level with the curved surface of the Earth. Water is a fluid and so will take its shape as dictated by the forces acting on it. "the water in the reservoir does not bend"...It does, at the rate of 1 degree every 111 km. Take care.
