You are a person who stars with an opinion and then searches and accepts only evidence that you think confirms this opinion while totally ignoring the vast amount of evidence that proves you wrong. This is known as "confirmation bias" or "cherry-picking" in everyday language. However I prefer to call it intellectual dishonesty. I have encountered many reality deniers who display this pattern of behaviour and some actually consider their position when this is pointed out to them although most just double down on their irrationality. I wonder what approach you will take.

There are plenty of historical examples of viruses that become less dangerous over time such as the H1N1 influenza virus responsible for The Great Flu 1918-21, the swine flu virus a decade ago and a cold virus OC43 which is considered to be responsible for an epideictic in 1890 which killed over a million.
