You wrote "no delay". What are you talking about? There is a quite clear and obvious delay between when Nixon stops speaking and a reply comes from the astronauts on the Moon. Obviously there should be no delay in Nixon replying to a communication from the moon because the recording was made on earth and the signal will have already reached Earth by the time he hears it. "There was no wireless technology back in 1969".........Perhaps the single most ridiculous statement that I have ever seen on a YouTube comments section. Although, to be fair, the quality of what follows it is a pretty good contender for the title as well. Ever consider doing a bit of research before posting? Take care.

Why? It really is not that difficult to understand. Nixon spoke to the astronauts from the Oval Office at about midnight on 20 July 1969 from a land line. The call went to NASA mission control in Houston and was then routed from Mission Control to the astronauts via the Manned Space Flight Network (MSFN) antennas positioned around the world. The US did not have a direct line of sight to the moon at the time so the signal was transmitted to the moon from the 26m antenna at the Honeysuckle Creek tracking station, Australia. Take care.
