You are totally incorrect Alan Bean, Eugene Cernan and Edgar Mitchell all did swear on the Bible that they had walked on the Moon. So what exactly is your point???
7
Your Physics is close but somewhat muddled. Yes, if you ignore other forces such as air-resistance than all objects will fall at the same rate. On Earth that rate is 9.81 m/s2 and on the Moon that rate is 1.6 m/s2 or about 1/6 that of Earth. This means that on the Moon an object falling from a given height will take 2.45 times longer to reach the surface than and object falling from the same height on Earth. (The 2.45 is the square root of 6 and I calculated it using the equations of motion). So, as you yourself noticed, this is why the astronauts seem to "get alot of hang time". Take care.

"shouldn’t that moon dust be flying through the air?"......There is no air on the moon. The lunar surface is a vacuum. The dust kicked up by the Apollo astronauts and by the Lunar Roving Vehicle shows no evidence of being impeded by an atmosphere. This is exactly what would be expected on the moon's surface. Take care.

And the smoking ban had damaged pubs and nightclubs how exactly????
6
It is really sad to see so many unvaccinated people dying in the UK.

The camera settings are for the bright, daytime lunar surface. If the settings were adjusted to detect starlight which is very dim then everything else would just appear as a mass of glare. Take care.

@TheCraigy83 Hi, hope that you are well. Everything in the Apollo Program footage shows that it was filmed in low gravity and a zero air resistance environment. Your personal incredulity and supposition is not proof of anything. Take care.

@NeilPeelParanormalPeepShow Hi again neil, hope that you continue to be well. I can assure you that while there are many issues and challenges with Physics in general there are none whatsoever in relation to any of the Apollo Mission footage. As I have explained to you in my previous comment, objects will only strike the ground at the exact same time if they fall from exactly the same height at exactly the same time and have exactly the same initial velocity. You seem to be assuming that dust kicked up by an astronaut (or a beach Volleyball player) will always reach the exact same height as the astronaut and should therefore strike the ground at the same time that they do. There is no reason whatsoever that this should be the case. In the John Young salute (Apollo 16) You can clearly see that different elements of the dust kicked up reach different heights and that Captain Young jumps higher than the dust. In fact, those who wish to maintain the myth that the Apollo footage was somehow faked should really totally avoid the subject of the dust as an analysis of the dust kicked up in the Apollo 16 mission proves conclusively that it was filmed in a low gravity and zero atmospheric resistance environment. Take care.

@67maxfield Hi maxfield, hope that you are well. Thank you for your question. I have never seen shadows going in different ways in any Apollo photograph I just hear people alleging it. Nixon spoke to the astronauts from the Oval Office at about midnight on 20 July 1969 from a land line. The call went to NASA mission control in Houston and was then routed from Mission Control to the astronauts via the Manned Space Flight Network (MSFN) antennas positioned around the world. The US did not have a direct line of sight to the moon at the time so the call was beamed to the moon from the 26m antenna at the Honeysuckle Creek tracking station, Australia. Take care.

@danfletcher3255 The Apollo 11 lander has already been photographed by the ISRO (India) Chandrayaan-2 orbiter. The orbiter's image of the Apollo landing site was released to the public in a presentation on September 3, 2021. Take care.

@TheCraigy83 Hi again. Interesting word salad. Total lack of proof of anything. Take care.
4
@trippa3553 Hi t, hope that you are well. You wrote "you’re not even worth speaking to"...Then why are you speaking to me? Are you confused? Take care.
4
@265justy Seriously...can you not make your point politely and without (attempting to) be rude? So have all the smokers run off and abandoned pubs or are there other factors at play. take care.

@bobbytate9907 Hi bobby, you are close but your Physics is a little mixed up. If you ignore other forces like air resistance then all objects in a gravitational field will fall at the same Rate (I said Rate, not Speed as objects accelerate as they fall so their speed downwards is constantly increasing). On Earth that rate is 9.81 m/s2. On the Moon that rate is 1.6 m/s2 or about 1/6 that of Earth. This means that on the Moon an object falling from a given height will take 2.45 times longer to reach the surface than and object falling from the same height on Earth. (The 2.45 is the square root of 6 and I calculated it using the equations of motion). So, as you yourself noticed, this is why the astronauts fall at a slower Rate on the Moon than on Earth. Take care.

@NeilPeelParanormalPeepShow Hi Neil, hope that you are well. Objects will only fall back to the ground at the same time if they fall from exactly the same height at exactly the same time. There is no reason whatsoever that sand or dust kicked up by an astronaut or a beach volleyball player should always fulfil this condition. The behaviour of the dust (and astronauts) in all the Apollo Program footage clearly demonstrates that it was filmed in an environment where the acceleration due to gravity is 1.6 m/s2 and where there is no atmospheric resistance. Take care.

@benjaminbennett7486 Hi Benjamin, hope that you are well. In your comment you have unfortunately made a few errors. (1) You wrote "there is actually a NEGATIVE air pressure of something like 1x10^-17 tor in space". "1x10^-17 tor" is not a "NEGATIVE" pressure, "1x10^-17" is not a negative number it is a positive number! Pressure is a scalar quantity, it can never be negative. (2) "Are you are suggesting that because the moon has less gravity, objects fall more slowly in a vacuum?". All objects will fall at the same rate/acceleration in a vacuum. The value of this rate/acceleration is determined by gravity. The moon has less gravity than the Earth so objects will fall at a slower rate on the moon than in a vacuum on Earth. (3) "I'm talking about the necessity of ALL objects to INSTANTLY hit the ground whenever they are dropped and no matter the height". It is physically impossible for and object to "INSTANTLY hit the ground" when it is dropped from any height greater than zero. (4) "1/6th gravity does not mean things move in slower motion"!! No Ben, lower gravity means that objects will fall with lower acceleration, therefore slower. Take care.

Yes...because most scientific issues are decided in law courts........
3
So proof not needed then?
3
@TheCraigy83 Link me the paper when it gets published. Take care.

@stequality Of the 51,281 deaths fromCovid-19 in England between 2 January and 2 July 2021, 50,641 were of people who were not fully vaccinated. It is sad to see so many needless deaths of unvaccinated people.
3
@TheCraigy83 "You know the footage was shot by Stanley Kubrick"....Proof please.

The camera settings are for the bright, daytime lunar surface. If the settings were adjusted to detect starlight which is very dim then everything else would just appear as a mass of glare. Take care.
2
Do you know many hangers with zero air-resistance and acceleration due to gravity of 1.6 m/s2?
2
@Hedonism96 Explain.
2
@PleasureisMine1 Do you even know who the astronaut in this video is? Take care.
2
@stequality I see it with my own eyes, in my town the unvaxed are dropping like flies. Take care.
2
"No one will ever walk on the moon, NASA admits it"....Are you a troll or a fool?

@narajuna Hi wide open, hope you are well. You wrote about lunar dust "it should float longer in space vacuum". Remind us again how things FLOAT in a VACUUM! Take care.
1
@benjaminbennett7486 Hi Benjamin, hope that you are well. You wrote "In a vacuum, everything falls at the same velocity". This statement is incorrect. In a vacuum all objects will fall at the same RATE, meaning that they will have the same ACCELERATION. Velocity and acceleration are not the same thing. Also, this downward acceleration is not "irrespective of gravity", it is caused by gravity. Take care.

Provide the evidence to back up your claim,

@thefrenchruraldream8069 I assume that you mean the original posters comment? If so, then you may be correct but you should never underestimate the capacity of the reality denier to produce comments of amazing stupidity. Take care.

"zero gravity"..........??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
1
You are very confused. There was no presidential call on Cernan's mission. Take care.

Hi Jamie. Serious problems with your use of the English language here. If we are to take you at your word " 72 % of doble jabed people are bk in hospital" then with 45.3 million people fully vaccinated in the UK then you would have us believe that there are 32.6 million people in hospital! Consider thinking about what you wish to say before you write. Take care.
1
@jamiejones642 "72% of hospital admissions are doble jabed" ...but that is not what you originally said!! You said that " 72 % of doble jabed people are bk in hospital" which is totally different! By the way you should consider using spell check. Take care.

Totally incorrect. He actually gave an excellent and inspirational speech when he met the press after returning. Take care.
1
@zhengling2668 Do you even know the name of the astronaut that I am writing about? Take care.
1
@265justy And again, has this been caused in the main by the smoking ban or are there other much more influential factors at play? Take care.

USA....709k Covid-19 deaths and counting......

@hasdrubal121 Hi h, thanks for your reply. There seems to be 3 questions in your comment. (1) As I am sure that you already know it takes about 2 weeks for the immune system to produce antibodies at levels that will block infections so in the UK full vaccination means "14 days have passed since your final dose of the vaccine" (BBC website). (2) Of the 51,281 deaths fromCovid-19 in England between 2 January and 2 July 2021, 50,641 were not fully vaccinated. You asked did some have one vaccine. Yes, some did. I will go back to the report and get the exact figure for you. (3) The science from virtually all sources, organisations and nations that I have read show that vaccination is very effective in reducing the risk of serious illness, hospitalisation and deaths. Take care

@karlhulme8014 Hi Karl. You suggested to "Take a look at Israel, then compare with Sweden" so that is exactly what I did. The results may (or may not) surprise some people. The data that I use comes from the Statista website but I believe that they take it from the Johns Hopkins University Coronavirus Resource Center. For Covid-19 deaths per million of population: Sweden = 1440.97, Israel = 847.76, so Sweden's Covid deaths are 1.7 times Israels (or 41% higher). Total Cases: Sweden = 1,149,407 from a population of 10.29 million = 11% of population contracted Covid. Israel: Total cases = 1,266,206 from a pop of 9.05 million = 13.99% of population got infected with Covid. (Higher pop density in Israel could explain this). Overall: Israel has had a much lower death rate from Covid-19 than Sweden. Of course there are other metrics, but these numbers are interesting. Take care.

@georgemarkos2309 You wrote "Astronauts are around 70 to 80 kg in weight in earth gravity. Do you understand Kg (kilograms)???".......Weight is not measured in Kg. You apparently do not understand kilograms. Take care.
