It's amazing how people conflate having money and "doing well in life". If everyone hates you and you are a disgusting person... are you really doing well in life?

@alycefrench5753 It comes with age I think, as you get older (and maybe have a family started), you start to realize all the money chasing doesn't actually mean anything or matters. Yes, have enough money to be secure, but the idea of "I have two lambos"...it just doesn't even register with me lol. I have no desire to have a Lamborghini lol.

@SubjectDelta20 Well yes obviously you should be financially secure as well, but the whole reach for "status" by having a lambo or whatever, its just very basic and youthful thinking and desires. But to say I have millions so I'm doing well in life, thats confusing whats actually meaningful with materialistic things that really know one in the end will give a shyte about lol.

@sariahjohnson7237 Both could work but I meant conflate. By that I mean how people merge the concepts of having money and "doing well in life" into a single, interchangeable idea. Wasn't meaning that people saying that having money is equivalent to "doing well in life," but rather that people often blur the lines between the two, treating them as if they are interchangeable.
