  6.  @lynncampbell6237  - That's what i thought here. I'm a golf course superintendent. We have a bunch of ducks every year in our ponds. I've learned so much through observation. Not only will ducks not accept a "domesticated" duck, they will cast off a duckling they think is too weak to make it. The general public doesn't know that. You can't fault the person for believing they were acting in the duck's best interest.
