@layinlow77 bro. read the charter of hamas. they are telling you why they do what they do. you dont have to guess.

@DaggerSecurity hamas tell you their religious motivations. its all over the charter for one. just read it

my wife basically raised her niece while her sister, the nieces mom, was going through some stuff. i've known her since she was 4, taught her to play baseball, taught her to ride a bike, took her to hawaii and take her on every vacation we go one. she recently stopped talking to both of us after i said not to worry about the gay marriage issue because nobody really cares about same sex marriage any more (shes gay).

@layinlow77 looks like my reply got deleted. i'll try again. my point is that there is a belief system motivation for hamas' actions. we know that because they say so themselves with their words and in their very charter. we only have to listen to them and read what they say. the charter contains words from the source material of the belief system. that system is far older than hamas.

@salaciousone you are 100 percent correct about land for peace and the fact that is has always given back land won in wars. despite being attacked several times by its neighbors, they do this. and despite this fact they are still called colonizers, colonialists, etc. its bizarre.
2
@JohnJourdan8 not according to hamas. read the charter please

@theghostofbabanovac7069 there have been times when religions coexisted in relative peace. even then, relative peace only happens when jews and christians accept second class 'dhimmi' status. there are a lot of restrictions on the subjugated faiths. very similar to the accusations against israel particularly as it pertains to the west bank. hamas would take issue with the claim that this is not religious.

@JimRobinson-colors the left has spent the last eight years trying to incarcerate and frame their opponents as russian assets and grapists, silencing dissent and free speech, while trying and failing to form a department of disinformation where they get to tell you what is true, but you think trump is authoritarian?
1
@Jake-mv7yo interesting take. unfortunately the Palestinians dont agree with you.
1
@layinlow77 i'm not sure what your point is. do you know how far back the belief system goes? alot more than 80 years. read the charter. the belief system is all over it. they want to unalive the j's because the belief system says so. thats not my opinion. and they dont hide it. its the same reason they wont share the land but rather they want all of it. its in the source material
1
@layinlow77 first, you just justified the unaliving of civilians. second, israel pulled every jewish person out of gaza nearly two decades ago. the palestinians could have built a thriving paradise instead they elected a group that has in its charter a belief system duty to 'obliterate' their neighbors. read what the rocks and trees say in the charter. then they launched 6000 rockets into israel. so israel essentially shut down the border. read the charter
1
@layinlow77 i agree with you about youtube. in principle, if what you said about what is is doing, i'd agree. is left gaza in 05, leaving the pals to do as they wished with the land. they pulled every j person out of there to try a land for peace swap. the pals responded by electing a group that has in its charter the obliteration of is. along with the part about the rocks and trees. they then launched thousands of rockets into is. thats why theres a blockade. id check out benny morris on these things were talking about. hes been quite critical of is btw

@layinlow77 if you think h changed their charter (let alone what they actually believe), i'd listen to benny morris. the accusation was that the old one was so bad, they had to 'update' their image. so they came up with a "A Document of General Principles and Policies". its not a 'new' charter . and if you consider the events of 8 months ago, of course they still want to do what they say they wanted to do in the charter. they literally did it. interestingly Net, who i dont like, said this 'new' document was meant to trick the public into thinking they had become more moderate. of course he was right. if we're talking about intent, it should be clear by now what each side actually wants. if H laid down their weapons, there would be peace. If Is did, they would be obliterated. not coincidentally just as the belief system and original charter says.
1
@baggyobeast the fact that there have been times where there was relative peaceful coexistence does not mean there can't be an ideological motivation behind one of the current combatants. thats like saying a serial killer who has unalived 100 people didn't unalive a person once so therefore they can't be a serial killer.
1
@baggyobeast also what you call peace when the ideology in question is in power- dhimmi status- sounds alot like what Israel is accused of, which is apartheid. not so peaceful for the dhimmi.
1
@baggyobeast finally, H disagrees with you. they tell you in their charter- and other places- why they do what they do. may want to read the part about the rocks and trees and the origin of that peaceful- according to you- phrase..
1
@yoophone692 in this case the belief system and the politics are intertwined. hamas certainly says its religious.
