@xaviernogueira i think a nation under something resembling christian values is quite different from one under sharia law. we wouldn't be unaliving apostates or blasphemers for example. i think we had the former at some point here and we;ve evolved. abortion went to the states which constitutionalists seem to think is where it should be. gay marriage is legal. those two issues werent even part of the republican platform in 24. both parties have shifted left. america is the least religious it has ever been. hardly anyone goes to a church anymore. what makes you think we are going in the other direction?

@ agreed nobody should be killed for being trans. statistically its among the safest identities contrary to popular belief. btw floyd did not die of asphyxiation, according to the coroner the day after his death. you would be stunned how many of these cases are not as advertised. mike brown, tryvon martin, central park 5, the list is endless. the leaders of blm describe themselves as trained marxists. blm says one of their goals is to disrupt the nuclear family and is anti capitalist and use words like equity. they are clearly far left by their own admission.

Does the unelected fourth branch have anything to do with democracy? —Lastly, we’re not a democracy, but a Republic—stop overusing the word! “…Money is a huge part of the story…kind of destabilizing the political system in a number of different ways.” —The Democrats vastly outspent the Republicans in this past election, and the results weren’t close. I don’t think it’s a money problem as to why the political landscape shifted. I could go on and on, but this Lady lives in a hall of mirrors, where she, as well as many people on the left are unable to actually see the shift in the political landscape for what it is. It’s not some Christian Nationalist phenomenon, it’s not a far right phenomenon—for Donald Trump is not far right if you’re conscious of the actual political spectrum. What happened in November was not just Democracy, but Democracy functioning—but obviously, hard pill for some people to swallow, case in point being this lady. Absolutely astonishing, but at this point, not surprising.

@Palau_Legend i remember the michael shermer poll about police shootings. and political affiliation. 51 percent of people on the far left thought that 1000 to ten thousand plus unarmed blk men were shot and killed by the cops in a year. the actual number is something like 12. this is because the media those people comsume is telling them that cops are shooting blk folks daily. sam is consuming media that tells him trump is tearing down democracy and is blind to the lefts faults when it comes to their media dishonestly, for example. his positions on covid and trump are polar opposite of his former friends. virtually every single one. youre right though. it is difficult to make sure you get a balanced diet media wise. you really have to make an effort once you realize whats going on and most people either prefer their tribal daily, bias reinforcing news or just don't have the time to sort though the mess. what frustrates me is when the bret stuff with covid started to stir up, sam refused to talk to him. a conversation really could have gone a long way to resolving differences and clearing the air but sam refused. besides sams talk with shapiro a few months ago, which was great, i havent heard him speak to anyone from the other side in a while which is more evidence hes in an increasingly smaller filter bubble, completely isolated from information convinced left wing media is almost always true while fox is almost always propaganda. .

H quotes texts from their belief system, 1400 year old ones, which is why i reference it but i'm unable to post most parts of it. you have to read it for yourself. . most people are not familiar with the belief system. one thing always liked about sam was his knowledge of belief systems. this particular one is riddles with texts calling for the unaliving of the Js.

@bengreen171 let me clarify, like sam correctly point out, a distinction should be made between the religious texts and what each member believes because they are often not exactly the same. thats why i say H and not all M's. H says in their own words what they want to do and cites that material.

@bengreen171 is is not committing G. i was a marine who participated in urban warfare. the civilian to combatant ratio is unprecedented in this kind of warfare. the only reason there are anywhere near this many is because H hides purposely among the civilians and used them as human shields. of course we can criticize isr for other things. again, back to my question- given the stated intentions of H, what can Is do?

ahhh.i got this. sam is right on this point. listening to cops is great advice that saves black lives. the exception of ms massey does not prove the rule. do you know how many unarmed black men are shot by the police every year (without looking it up)?
