@Palau_Legend from above a few posts-
I don’t know if it’s just me, but it infuriates me when guests (like this lady) use vague platitudes, with no substantive grounding in definitional reality.
“I mean they told us they were going to dismantle the institutions of our democracy, and that’s exactly what they’re doing now.”
—Well wasn’t this past election a CLEAR “democratic” signal to the political class that the will of the people hasn’t been responded to (i.e. Democracy functioning)?
—Why didn’t you comment about the “fourth branch of government” being exposed by DOGE? Does the unelected fourth branch have anything to do with democracy?
—Lastly, we’re not a democracy, but a Republic—stop overusing the word!
“…Money is a huge part of the story…kind of destabilizing the political system in a number of different ways.”
—The Democrats vastly outspent the Republicans in this past election, and the results weren’t close. I don’t think it’s a money problem as to why the political landscape shifted. Plus, ALL the real money is controlled by the left—from higher education, to media, to Hollywood, to science—the list goes on.
“You know, they want privileged contracts or they want, in some instances, I’m looking at you Mr. Musk, tax privileges, tax subsidies, and things like this.”
—Musk has spoken about his “sudden” entry into politics. Firstly, he said it was taking longer for the regulatory system to approve his Rockets than it was to actually build them—meaning the system is so over bureaucratized that it’s gridlocking entrepreneurs out of actually building things.
—Also, he’s spoken about how his now transgender son was taken from him by the school system, where he unknowingly lost authority of his son because the school essentially conned him into signing away his authority. So “the trans issue” is not some far right, overblown thing, but tangibly real for many people, including Elon.
“But we've also seen life become so much harder for people, I would say, in the bottom 90% of our country, where the working and middle classes are struggling, you know, and making it hard, it's making it harder for those families to succeed.”
—Do you think the pro inflationary policies of the past administration where a prime contributor to the suffering of the average person? Maybe that had something to do with the election results?¿?
I could go on and on, but this Lady lives in a hall of mirrors, where she, as well as many people on the left are unable to actually see the shift in the political landscape for what it is. It’s not some Christian Nationalist phenomenon, it’s not a far right phenomenon—for Donald Trump is not far right if you’re conscious of the actual political spectrum. What happened in November was not just Democracy, but Democracy functioning—but obviously, hard pill for some people to swallow, case in point being this lady.
Absolutely astonishing, but at this point, not surprising.
