incorrect. walz did not carry weapons in war. he decided to retire after learning they would likely be deployed. and he has misrepresented his actual rank at retirement which has been corrected by his campaign.

@gee853 not well stated at all. walz has said he misspoke. and they have stealth edited his bio to reflect his rank, which he still continued to misrepresent 6 years after being called out by his fellow soldiers. and the press release demonstrating walz knew he was likely to deploy is quite difficult to find. but you can find it. if one wants to.

@starzndices1066 ok. civilian kind of goofed on the bio. behrens has an axe to grind, so dont listen to him. he mis spoke when he saw in war. ok thats better than justifying which is what a bunch of apologists were doing. so thats good. have you seen the Doug Julin interview on CNN?

@starzndices1066 ya that could be it. o it was after he retured. what do you make of the new "Congressional Challenge Coin" story? he had the rank of CSM on it. i get claiming you were a CSM- technically true. to claim it in this way? seems like a bad look.

@starzndices1066 btw just a side note commentary on the state of journalism today- the fact that one has to go to a right wing (and some independent, for sure, but you get the idea) site to get facts because the left wing sites dont post them? not good. no wonder we are so divided, its like we live in two different worlds. @starzndices1066 but dont you think its crazy that its almost impossible to get all of the facts in one place? i'm in my 50s. in the eighties, as i referenced, biden had to stop his campaign due to some really bad lies. it was reported on all of the news stations at the time. today? you'd only see that covered on right wing (or independent) outlets. keep in mind the same people we are using for sourcing on walz are the same one who were telling us biden has never been better 6 weeks ago. i think we need to hold our news sources and politicians more accountable but i think tribalism gets in the way.
