@jb_4379 can i ask what the penalty for apostasy is?
34
@ of course. now, the major schools of Islamic jurisprudence disagree on the details, but agree on the overall punishment. what is the punishment?
2
@ apostasy is an offense on the same level as grape or murder? no. btw, .can we talk about the rights of concubines, aka sx slves?
2
@Kdramareview4u which hadith? al bukhari? "Whoever changes his religion, kill him." (reported by al-Bukhaari, al-Fath, no. 3017). if you change your religion, you are put to death after being given an opportunity to change back and you refuse. where do you think the scholars, who have studied this matter to death (pun not intended), got their rulings from?
1
@ which hadith? bukhari? yt wont let me quote any, btw. whoever changes his religion, k him. where do you think the scholars get their rulings from?
1
@Kdramareview4u the rocks and trees crying out calling for followers to unalive Js is apostasy? i responded. i asked about scholars, which you didnt like. then i asked what hadith do you want to look at? there are several within Bukhari. i gave you two above.
1
@ the bukhari hadith as well as islamic sources detailing M ordering the unaliving of apostates were up yesterday but it looks like yt deleted them. since we cant post them, i would ask why you think the scholars- who are experts on tafsir- are wrong?
1
@ i did respond. as i said in the post you are responding to, yt is deleting posts. tell me about apostasy.
1
@ the rocks and trees refers to a hadith that hamas quotes in their charter. it says the end will not come about until the Mus's fight and unalive the Jws . then the rocks and trees will cry out O, msm, there is a Jw hiding behind me. come and unalive him. i have been reading about this religion, among others, for nearly 30 years, btw.
1
@ i do know about apostasy. you offered to tell me the conditions, and i accept. we can talk about 07 later. tell me about the conditions.
1
@Kdramareview4u i can ask like this- do your conditions for apostasy differ from the scholars from the major schools?
1
@ what is apostasy?
1
@Kdramareview4u from islam q and a- Abdullah ibn Abbas (Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him and give him peace) said, “Whoever changes their religion, unalive them” (Bukhari). The above narration and others form the basis for the ruling agreed upon by all four schools of jurisprudence that the apostate must be killed. However, they agree that such an order may only be passed by an Islamic ruler or a representative of his court. In addition, three of the four schools require that the apostate, after having been declared as such in court, be given an opportunity to repent. The Hanafi school considers the giving of this opportunity to be recommended and not required. It also takes the view that a female apostate may not be killed (al-Mawsuah al-Fiqhiyyah). The fact that the execution of apostates is only permitted in an Islamic country where the ruler or his representative passes the judgment is of utmost importance. No human being, no matter how serious his crime, can ever be killed without the process of a valid Islamic court. This effectively means that the death penalty will not be passed on an apostate in 99 percent of countries around the globe.

@ i would quote from islamic sources but yt deletes it. if you point me to a source, i'll read it.
1
@ i'll paraphrase the hanafi figh- Apostasy is to regress from the truth to that which is false, to fall back from guidance into misguidance and from illumination and blessings to darkness and evil
1
@ conditions entail maturity, sanity and choice. if these conditions are met, then the apostate is asked three times to repent, if he or she declines, they are to be unalived. this is according to the hanafi school.
1
@Kdramareview4u thats YTs fault. how they figure out what to censor and what gets through, i have no idea. right, so the conditions differ slightly depending on the schools. .but you basically have three says to repent.
1
@ so why did you ask if i knew? anyone with a google machine knows, of course. this practice, along with the treatment of critics, the age of consent (aisha) and the doctrine of jihad in order to spread its message, to name a few, are what makes it bad
1
@ disagree. laymen who read the quran and sunnah will have varying opinions on doctrine. . the schools of islamic jurisprudence dont agree on everything and these are the most knowledgeable scholars in the world. but they generally agree on major topics, which is why i referenced them in the first place. there is nothing about apostasy that i have gotten wrong since i'm getting my knowledge straight from the islamic sources, not critics.
1
@ i'll be more direct. bnng n9ne year olds is pdf file ia.
1
@ unaliving people who leave a religion is barbaric.
1
@ as i said, thats a long way of saying there is nothing wrong with the death penalty for apostasy.. we disagree on that. just as we disagree that the greatest example to humanity is not a pdf file. but i'm sure you have a perfectly good reason why he bangd a n9ne year old child.
1
@ yt consoring comments again. nothing you said justifies unaliving an apostate. its barbaric. just like a 50 year old having relations with a nne yr old. we call that pdf file ia in the west.
1
@Kdramareview4u i am insincere because i disagree with some of the doctrines of islam? disagreeing that someone that changes his religion shuold be unalived makes me human with a working brain, not biased. and relations with children under the age of ten is still pdf elia.but you think this is the best example to humanity. in the west we lock those kinds of people up
1
@Kdramareview4u i disagree that its not that simple because no matter what sords you add, you are still supporting the idea that someone should be unalived for changing their religion. waiting period and whether they move is not relevant to the idea you are supporting.
1
@Kdramareview4u and here you are comparing murder to changing religion. i do not think they are remotely the same.
1
@Kdramareview4u repent or leave the country. whatever. semantics it changes nothing. and relations with children under the age of ten is still pdf elia. especially when the most perfect man ever does it at 50 years old
1
@Kdramareview4u i state the obvious fact that murder is not the same thing as changing ones religion and your response is 'thats subjective"? the only people that believe those two things are crimes- let alone crimes punishable by death- are the same ones that think the best example to humanity is a guy who had relations with a child under the age of ten.
1
of all the hadith that are nuts, this is the one that he questioned?
