  1. My Maltese got mauled by a pit-bull (with prior violent offenses) that jumped out of a parked SUV. when I was a kid. The owner ran because she knew what they do to repeat offender dogs. The pit-bull snapped my dog's spine and she couldn't walk or wag her tail or pee on her own, so I think my parents put her down. It's not the domesticated pit's fault, they're "sweet and harmless" hard-wired killers. Fact.
