@bobbyd6040 if you wanna know the truth, these aren't even countries, they're markets (some have even called them tax-farms). you can't be naive enough to actually think this market can seek growth and not try to stifle the potential growth of a competitor- especially one as experienced and violent as Russia. think Hitler. do you really think it'd be in the best interest of the U.S. to say, oh that's Europe's war, not the U.S.'s. Markets and economies are global. it's more complex than focusing on ones own interest without considering the competitor. Defending Ukraine is not only in the interest of the weapons manufacturers (that have no allegiance to any country if you wanna know the truth), it's also in the best interest of America and its allies in Europe. It's either we send money and weapons now, or troops later (more defensively than offensively).

@bobbyd6040 let me ask you a question to try and expand your view. what do you think would happen if Russia was permitted to usurp the territories (including all mines and ports) and resources (including all minerals and grain and labor force) of Ukraine without resistance?

@bobbyd6040 not much for global strategy are you?

@qpunk1 The US wasn't even a country when Russia was aggressing against neighboring nations. The U.N. wasn't even formed yet either. It's not as easy as blaming one side or the other. They are both complicit playing a game of global strategy chess. Russia moved against Ukraine because the UN was building a presence in the region. Neither side is innocent. They are two sides of a war machine that is profiting the uber wealthy while poverty in both the U.S. and Russia grows and reaches 15% this year. If the world is a fish tank, there are only 3 or 4 big fish in it, and the very nature of them all is to seek infinite growth in a finite global system. Demand goes up, then supply must as well, and the only way to achieve that is to expand. Development and modernization comes out of the acquisition of territory and the resources it provides. It's simple.

@jimmaag4274 hahaha, as if you're "hard earned" pennies matter to criminals that use that small amount of money on their yachts, gas, vacations, and cocaine-fueled prostitute binges. You know your tax money goes to the write offs of tax savvy people that know how to manipulate the system right? Unless you're a millionaire, your taxes either cover the mini fridge expenses of big business or the toilet paper at Home Depot. The rich that use it spend your hard earned pennies on one cocktail in one night at a business lunch or dinner aboard some yacht where billionaires are sniffing coke off of the boobs of high dollar hook ers. But yeah, keep pretending like Russian controlling all of Europe wouldn't affect you in your safe little 1st world bubble where the top two exports are violence and labor.
