  1. petitions and letters end up on politicians secretaries' desks and rarely make it to anybody's desk that isn't bought and paid for by the very criminals that the petitions and letters are regarding. it always entertains me when people think writing a congressman will actually be a worthwhile venture. politicians are there to give you the illusion that your opinion matters. it's a sad state.
