30% of the medium tanks used in the defence of Moscow came from the British. They also sent three Spitfire wings by early September 1941, complete with pilots & ground crew. Heck, we even loaned them a battleship, which they later returned in such poor condition it was scrapped.

@larsrons7937 The Russians did receive Spitfires, though not in large numbers & starting with PR MkIV & surviving MkV & MkIX from arctic convoy protection flights. These were generally based around Murmansk.

@larsrons7937 It was actually more than 1,400, with most of them being sent via Iran. This consisted of around 150 MkV & 1,200 MkIX plus odds & sods of PR versions.
