Definitely one of the "if it looks right, it is right" aircraft.

YouTube's censorship is becoming truly ridiculous. I had a comment removed tonight which discussed potato storage & growing leeks - presumably YT's nasty little blacklist of those of us who dare question their protection of Russian trolls played a part...

Putin is a thieving, murdering dictator & certainly NOT a Christian. He & his kleptocracy have robbed the Russian people to enrich themselves.
28
@thekinginyellow1744 It's NLAW Luxembourg supplied, not the old LAW. M72 LAW are still plenty effective against a BMP, other light armoured vehicles or bunkers & entrenchments.
26
I remember seeing both C-36 & Vampire on an airfield during a school trip to Switzerland in 1970 - heady stuff for a then 12 year old aircraft enthusiast.
16
Should've ceased all trade with them right there & then but of course Merkel always was beholden to Russia, especially regarding her allegiance, both historical & contemporary...
15
What a pile of 🤡💩
15
The Calquin is one of those rarities: An aircraft that looks right, which isn't.
14
@EdNashsMilitaryMatters Animal off the Muppet show was the love child of Dennis Healey & a floor mop... 🙃
13
How on earth can a 6-7,000 tonne ship be classed as a frigate? For that matter, the Type 45 has the displacement of a 1980's USN cruiser. Mebbe it's to sneak them past politicians, like the "through deck command cruiser" of the 1970's RN.
13
@richardj9016 Oh look; the Putinbots have arrived. Crimea is more Turkish than Russian, you insecure little warmonger.
11
Frank Whittle, Barnes Wallis, Watson-Watt, John Randall & Harry Boot - all had to push hard to get what became vital developments accepted by the government.
11
Question: How do you build airfields on 10' of mud?
10
A late friend of mine was the son of the Guatemalan defence minister at the time of this incident & I remember him recounting what his father knew about it & that was the -24 being taken out by a missile & one, possibly two -8s being shot up.
10
@russellfitzpatrick503 It's a pity Ukraine wasn't one of them, as in that case, Putin would never have started this crap back in 2014.
9
Interesting but not in the least unexpected. Iran's meddling in the region has been causing misery & death for decades.
9
@MrAmhara Fact free nonsense. Also, Brazil is anything but left wing & is utterly opposed to Venezuela's actions.
9
About bloody time too. Congratulations mate.
7
@petersouthernboy6327 BAE, THALES, Leonardo? Hardly.
7
By sheer coincidence, this is the second mention of Lashio for me in a day, as I'm currently reading "Mad Mike" by David Rooney for the second or third time.
7
Hmm. I knew about Soviet pilots being actively engaged in operations over Korea many years ago, so this is hardly a recent revelation.
7
The Mirage was the first Airfix kit I built - must have been about 1966.
7
@Slaktrax Stop spreeading your Kremlin lies, vatnik. It was in international airspace & the airspace over Crimea is Ukrainian, not Ruzzian.
7
@billhanna2148 That'll only come about if the west continues to appease the thief in chief, Putin.
6
European citizens pay for their healthcare through taxation or national insurance, plus in some cases contributions for treatment. That's why taxes are higher here than in the US. Now go do some basic research.
6
@Heike-- What a truly dumb comment. Not unexpected from an Ivan.
6
They were returned to unoccupied France via Brest & Cherbourg on British ships. About half were subsequently involved in the fighting before the ceasefire in late June. Just over 3,000 joined the Free French army in the UK, not 7,000.
6
Germany needs to stop dicking around, extract its digit & actually put weapons & munitions in Ukrainian hands. The prevarication & bureaucratic delays are, shall we say "questionable"...
6
Reaper is cleared to carry AIM9X Might be an idea to actually carry one from hereon in.
6
@Aqua Fyre It wasn't over Russia's territory & seas. Stop telling lies. The balloon WAS in US airspace.
6
@Tiberiotertio It was in US, not international airspace. The drone was in international airspace, thus there is zero comparison
6
I do hope Pooh loses his grip on Burma.
5
@RaimoKangasniemi Clearly you're not in touch with this one, as his predecessors were, to a man, utterly abysmal.
5
I've just finished reading Viscount Slim's Defeat into Victory for the second time, where his observations give a good deal of context to what has happened in Burma over the past 80 years. The path of Burma post independence could have been very different had Aung San & seven other promising Burmese politicians not been murdered in 1947.
5
@Aqua Fyre <--- Putin troll.
5
@richardj9016 What's the current pay rate for a good little Putinbot? Can't be much if you're the kind of ineffective twit they get.
4
Eurofighter is actually a better fit for Canada's needs than most of the alternatives & more advanced than the F-15 or F-18.
4
Bahrain not Bairahn. ;-)
4
@Error-fourOfour Aye, I've a fair collection of literature covering the Burma campaign & those involved.
4
@nonamesplease6288 They're NOT handing them over, as the US has said the current offer of flying them to Ramstein is untenable & rightly so. Flying them from Poland is dodgy enough, though Ukrainian pilots "stealing" them from a Polish airbase might happen...
4
Boris is a Marxist? Utter drivel.
4
Yep. Long gone, along with the hundreds of other kits I built back then.
4
Russia - from its soon to be confiscated foreign currency reserves held in European, UK & US banks - $700bn estimated.
4
@alasseon99 Negotiate? Oh do please fuck off & find some reality! What's to negotiate - the amount of reparations Russia must pay to Ukraine, or the means of execution for the dwarf Putin? As for Nukes: If Putin crosses that line, even China will take action to ensure Russia as an entity ceases to exist.
4
Utter nonsense. Damage to the tip of one of the propeller blades is clearly shown. State department said the prop was hit.
4
@Slaktrax Oh look: a big pack of absolute lies.
4
@Lemonjellow Nah, as the fuel is behind the jet. AIM9X up the Jacksie sounds good to me.
4
@peterhoulihan9766 To escort, not "chase off". Cope.
4
@peterhoulihan9766 It's common for these to fly like this one; in international airspace. In any case, the skies over Crimea are Ukrainian, not Russian.
4
Please note Hispano-Suiza is pronounced Hispano-Sweeza.
