With the way how the world is going, things getting harder to achieve and exponentially less rewarding, the only realistic choice seems to be becoming a hikikomori or to let it rot. You basically have to go through hell and back only for some crumbs, I have no idea how anybody sees anything worth fighting for at this point

When the game is rigged against you there are only 2 things you can do to combat that fact: take out the competition so that it's no longer rigged or give up and don't waste energy on a losing battle. Seems like we'll be going with the second option for the foreseeable future

@kn2549 It's crazy what overpopulation can do. We went from companies fighting for employees to requiring 20 years of experience for everything and treating their employees like garbage

@GameCrafter467 Because human existance in general is utterly meaningless, though I suppose making the life of the rest better would have some meaning if you care about other people

@eyeballjay It's kind of hard to find what it means to me when I literally don't care about any part of it at all. I don't care how the world is or how it could be, I only care about how it should be, but that's not within anybody's reach

My experience is pretty similar as an European as well. Severe chronical depression has made more or less everything not worth doing (too much effort for too little gain). I'm currently 21 and still live with parents, studying higher than high school just doesn't look feasible to me or worth the effort at all, so do desirable skills for jobs so I have no idea what I'm supposed to do at this point

@unknownorigin7433 Yeeaahhh, I don't really enjoy being ordered around either. I don't see any benefits to it aside from survival which isn't really enough
