@ベース-l1f Even under Capitalism working your desired job is difficult. There are tons of people with degrees that work minimum wage because there are no opportunities out there for them, then they also had lots of other benefits that we don't have under Capitalism. Not having bananas available regularly and having to wait 15 years for a car seem like a low price to pay for universal healthcare, no unemployment, no homelessness and free education and all this is in a state where they're being cut off by Capitalist countries at any possible corner. How do you even go from basically being a ghetto to competing with the West in a few decades, while also having amazing quality of life for your people?

@ベース-l1f I'm no expert on the matter but from what I've heard, between constantly being under threat (therefore needing to invest a lot on military) plus all the trade restrictions and whatnot it was very difficult for them to match the consumerist life of the West. At least they had no issues with unemployment, homelessness and extreme poverty, like how we see today, after so many "advancements" and whatnot under Capitalism. Idk about other people but if I had to choose between living a consumerist lifestyle and having free healthcare, no unemployment and no homelessness the latter is an easy choice
