The other 95% depend on the government, a salary, wealth, retailers, farmers, etc. If you're not capable of producing your own food as well as pretty much everything you need to survive then you're depending on somebody else

  10. ​ @ashishpatel350 1. Productivity does not necessarily equal increase in pay 2. Wages and inflation aren't actually linked. Your argument is that increasing wages would increase inflation, right? Then how is it possible for inflation to increase while wages do not increase?

One has to work to survive while the other has to own things to survive, like the means of production or other value generating ones like owning property. Honestly the convoluted mess that is adult work life is absolutely maddening in of itself
