  1. There never was any middle class to begin with. If you insist on using "classes", then there are only two: the working class and the owning class. One has to work to survive while the other has to own things to survive, like the means of production or other value generating ones like owning property. Honestly the convoluted mess that is adult work life is absolutely maddening in of itself
