  1. "When we were kids we were told we can be whatever we want" Love it when adults lie through their teeth to children. You can only choose from a limited pool of jobs and that's if you do well in school. For the ones that didn't, there really isn't much choice

  2. Kids today also happen to live in the most challenging times in terms of employment currently. Barely anybody hires and when they do actually hire (and don't just post ghost jobs), they offer you peanuts for an unreasonable amount of work. Do people enjoy living like serfs? I don't think so...

  6.  @thomgri  Yeah and that's bad. Pick the best person for a job but don't just say "Yeah, this guy may or may not be skilled but he's gen Z so that's a no-go". Y'know, how discrimination is bad (actually illegal haha) and should be condemned?

  8.  @leogillespie3309  Yeah except now that's impossible because everything costs multiple times over what it cost older generations while wages have barely moved in decades. We live in a world where people need 2-3 jobs just to make ends meet 😂. Long gone is the raising an entire family with a home on minimum wage salary lifestyle.

  9. Your point is? Nobody wants to work, it's an obligation, not a choice. People are applying for jobs and everything but the problem is that there are either: no jobs left or the jobs that are available just aren't worth the effort to reward ratio. We're entering a world where jobs will only become more and more of a scarcity.

  10. It's wild right now. My millenial mother is literally ready to do any kind of job, no matter how dirty or how many hours, but people just aren't hiring for anything 😂
