A small purchase sends me into an hour or more of just weighing whether it's worth it or not, even going as far as having to convince/bargain with myself to buy the thing that I want/need

But then the problem arises when you're out of things to do. I felt the same way but nowadays there's nothing interesting to do and that's when the loneliness comes in knocking

I grew up slightly above the poverty line and I have the same mindset, even if we could virtually never afford anything like a game console, heck, I've even had to buy myself my birthday present at 13 I think it was... Though perhaps I'm taking money a bit too lightly in comparison. Or I dunno, sometimes I'm hyper vigilant and other times I don't care that much, it is what it is...

@IRosamelia So firstly, I'm from the EU. Secondly, I'm pretty sure while I was growing up virtually everybody had a microwave, at least as far as I was aware back then (talking mostly about mid 2000s to mid 2010s). Also, having a car is kind of a requirement when your job is pretty much out of city and there's no other transport that could take you there (except asking for a colleague or somebody to pick you up I suppose) and this was in a relatively poor country as well (I'd consider it middle to low class)

This is some very interesting research. I believe that I may have fallen in love for the first time recently, although it's a bit weird because I haven't really interacted directly with the person, I've only really watched them interact with others. Logically it doesn't make much sense to me but the emotional side is driving me crazy. There's this almost physical pain every time I'm near that person, knowing that we'd most likely never be in a relationship. Heck, it doesn't even need to be while I'm near them, just every time I think about them in general 😢

I wonder if there are people out there that suffer from logical depression, instead of emotional depression (i.e. caused not by something that may have happened to you but just by thinking and coming to the conclusion that life isn't worth living, or at least that's how it went in my case)

@Bimbo-Balls Well no. If I'm outside it's because I have business to tend to, otherwise I'm at home

@IRosamelia No, as I said we were above the poverty line, though not by much, just enough for the essential stuff, like a car and a microwave (I guess these may not be that essential but I digress)
