  1. Saying that we probably won't ever know something is incredibly foolish. You repeatedly mentioned human trends and tuned out the one trend which will never be stopped simply due to natural human curiosity: learning. As long as humans are around, we will continue learning, and at the pace we're going, before the end of the 21st century, we'll know most of what there is to know about our brains.

  2. @Nicolai Myshkin He may be the greatest innovator of our time, but certainly not the last. I imagine we'll see in insane number of geniuses from Gen Z and Gen Alpha thanks to growing world population, education, and the internet, which hasn't really been in the hands of the public for more than a generation. Everything you said is true though. Universities as we know them won't last for long.

  6. I doubt genetic editing will be tabooed for the same reason capitalism will never be abandoned: it is just a better system. A group of people are engineered to be more intelligent, they will do better at everything, and the only possible thing others could do to compete is to engineer better humans as well.
