It hinges on the idea that technology will continue improving over time, but that's very unlikely given the amount of energy and computing power we have is decreasing. AI won't save or destroy us. It won't keep getting better forever. It's not magic, it needs energy. Energy we're running out of and it is very very far from being able to get itself. AI is just another slightly useful technology with many social drawbacks, like everything else

Either the government defends workers and dissallows unions, or unions defend workers and government stays out of it. If both exist, they tip the scales too much on the worker's side, which counterintuitively benefits large corporations and monopolies because new small businesses can't compete due to expensive overregulation.
