  2. America and China are the world. If one falls, the other does too, and by extension the rest of the world order, which will be catastrophic. This isn't Anglo-centric (technically that means England but I understand what you meant) it's just the truth. Agriculture is a massive problem. You can't just switch from one agriculture to the other, even in the best industrial 1st world conditions, it would take a year, which would still cause massive starvation and supply chain disruption. The problem is that the dominoes are perfectly set up to fuck up the current world order, which will be bad, but it won't be the end of the world. Oil-producing nations rely on Russian and Ukrainian food, which they won't get this year, which will lead to death, and as a result dramatically decrease oil exports, causing economic collapse around the globe, which then turns into a feedback loop for a couple horrifying years. Crude oil futures predict oil price dude... if the oil costs more, that means there's less of it to fuel the economy. Apart from a couple outliers, the ME is far from having "unlimited funds." Even if they had the money, more food doesn't just show up out of nowhere, it takes years to build up what'll easily be a quarter of the food grown around the globe. Starvation in the 3rd world and economic hardship is basically certain once winter comes around and last year's harvest runs out.

  3. The Left does not have a coherent or practical ideology or moral foundation, and also they don't have kids. Maybe the left can win the "battle" in the next decade or two, but in the long run, it's just impossible for the left to win due to simple demographics.

  8. I agree. Europe has a massive immigration problem that will cause ethnic tensions which is likely to lead to right-wing authoritarianism. America is less likely thanks to the constitution everything, but it's not impossible.

  10. Chinese state breakup happens often, but that's not guaranteed. A change in regime through a coup or a democratic revolution could happen. A lot can occur, but because of their aging population, it's just impossible that they'll be a global power.
