  2. Atheism changes nothing, Religion just adds more than it takes away, and I say this as an atheist myself. Though I cannot believe in a higher being myself, I have to admit to the necessity of a common philosophy. History is largely either religious or ideological, there is no atheist middle ground. Christianity does not slow anything down, or make people illogical.

  6. Whether Churchill was or wasn't racist doesn't matter. He was a colonialist trying to hold a crumbling empire together, that empire just happened to have India as its crown jewel. India was never united, and therefore raided and dominated by outsiders throughout all of history. The Brits took advantage of an underlying issue with a continent with mostly nothing in common except their subjugation under the British. England didn't cause this division, and it in fact lives to haunt India to this day.

  19.  d3monMnk3y  You don't understand. They are denying reality because they are ashamed of being colonized and conquered, this happens to everyone, just see China's century of humiliation. India can pretend it isn't, but it is absolutely insecure, they don't want to be the conquered or colonized any longer, and are revising history to appear as such. There is no other reason why this would be such a contentious issue, they are understandably insecure.
