@guens01 China has both a history and a present habit of doing that. The CCP has destroyed other Chinese cultures and replaced them with those of the Chinese, they have erased Nepal and Nepalese culture, are killing millions of Uighur Muslims, suppressing and oppression their own population, they have just dismantled the democracy in HK, and are threatening Taiwanese invasion. I wasn't around when Columbus found America, or when conquistadors toppled the largest empire in the western hemisphere, or when millions of natives died due to disease and were moved to reservations, but we're both here now, when China is being actively colonialist, and is it our duty to ensure freedom for all. Funny of you to tell me to wake up and beware, as it is clear you're less than informed on this topic, but hey, you and I can both chose whether or not to be ignorant, but the Chinese have no choice but to eat up all the BS propaganda their overlords give them.

China is only winning because the US is having internal political issues. Give it 5-10 years and sure, China might have Taiwan, but by then America will have sorted out its issues and what comes next for China? Even without American support, India, Japan, Korea, Australia, and even Russia is going to be against the CCP.

@albertwong1919 We don't need high speed train systems, everyone owns a car. We have the most and best maintained highways out of any country on earth. We have subsidized healthcare, welfare, and a million other things to help the poor. Also, using California as the standard is very bad. It's the most Democrat state, and the party has been in power there for decades.

@guens01 The biggest misunderstanding you have, is that america is all one hivemind people unable to speak out against their totalitarian government. There are democrats, republicans, libertarians, socialists, fascists, and yes, even communists who all have a right and freedom to speak and debate as they wish, and as time goes on and difderent parties come to power, different actions take place. Just because we invaded some nation doesn't mean all americans agree to that, most of the time, not even a majority of people agree with what is happening. America is not a singular entity, it is a union. It is not the same as other nations. Now, the same corrupt polititians lying about WMD's are the ones that want to be buddy buddy with the CCP. CNN and NBC and all the other leftist democrat biased telecoms are the most supportive and leniant "news" networks in regards to china. They lie about nearly everything, yes, but it rarely has anything to do outside our political uphevals here in the states. I don't support or trust these, or any MSM. Neither does the vast majoroty of americans. The fact you think that these biased networks have anything to do with our government is highly ignorant, and shows your chinese bias. American news are 99% of the time critical of the government, and they and everyone else can do it because they have the right to do so. Any lies by the MSM is not american government lies, it is the network's lies. Taiwan and Hong Kong are chinese? Really? Then why were the people of Honk Kong protesting for more than a year against the "reunification"? Why did everyone vote AGAINST it in their government? HK begged Trump to aid them but the US government did nothing but acknoledge their existance. Something they have yet to do with the FREE INDEPENDENT NATION OF TAIWAN. Taiwan is so Chinese, they have their own economy, currency, borders, navy, air force, army, and government! Taiwan wants nothing to do with the CCP, who are you to say otherwise? Oh that's right, you're nothing, because you have no say in your governments policy. Have fun getting shipped off to die in a war for the sake of dear leader Winnie the Pooh.

@apollotin6851 Unfortunately, we have to look at the facts here. We are infighting and stagnating. China is taking advantage of this and growing as much as possible beofre we gat back on our feet. It'll be a long time before america gets involved with china, as is tradition. For now India, Japan and Korea will have no problem containing the Chinese.

Though I agree that we should've pulled out a long time ago, millions of dollars were invested into their economies and billions were handed to them, much more than was needed to rebuild the little that was destroyed.

China is by no means a meritocracy, they're still a mostly rural society ruled by Communist feudalists. They are winning because of our internal political issues. If America had the political union and strength it did 30 or 40 years ago, China would be toast, faring no better than Russia or Germany. Once America leaves this period of decline, a war with or the internal collapse of china will be certain.
