  1. They can't take action with reciprocal action. Problem is that most wealthier European economies moved production to China a decade or two ago. This means that the pain associated with such action may well exceed its obvious benefits.

  3. Poorly researched. Pure EV stats are available and EVS are growing just fine. Nobody is buying any sort of vehicle right now because of interest rates. When polled most people say their next car will be an EV and only 10% will not consider it.
