  2. Temperatures were rising before we burned fossil fuels and they do go up and down naturally. But that does NOT mean that fossil fuels cannot increase temperatues. Venus has a greenhouse atmosphere and temperatures down there are problematic for the local inhabitents.

  7. The speaker understands this. That's why they created the World Bank, so you can finance renewables in Africa rather than coal and oil - it only takes a week or so for emissions to spread around the world. Except they are not doing their job.
