  1. AI is written in its own language - essentially weights and biases expressed as numbers together with nodes that connect to other nodes. We can understand it at small scale but not at the scale they are deployed. They are ways data scientists can come to understand them though, mainly through using them, understanding the data and latent spaces - but with these LLM these things seem to have been ignored and kept private.

  2. Currently they are not connected to the internet in a self-managed training loop. But that will come in time.
