  1. Flies, Mosquitoes, Rats - they have had many attempts to eliminate them as a species, and they endure. Dodo's on the other hand were ill equipped for challenges. A lot depends on the specie's tenacity.

  2. AGI/ASI discussions are stupid. Obviously something that powerful and uncontainable would cause an unsolvable problem. The thing is, what data would something like that be trained on - there is no such data source and it cannot be reasonably conceived of.
