  6. Left and right are at each other's throats about which is more important: freedom or equality. You can point to times in the past where too much freedom caused massive pain (1920's America -> Depression) and you can point to times when too much forced equality caused social pain (Collapse of the USSR or Great Leap Forward). I don't see why we cant just see that some situations need one and some need the other. Profit from both and trade them off cleverly.
