  1. Estimated superchargers in the US number (est 12000) roughly 10x less than gas stations (120000). The number needs to increase but I don't think Tesla needs to fund that. Tesla should franchise out Supercharger stations - allow owner to have a gas station store and a coffee bar.

  2. Others take them there. With a 405 mile range Tesla you can drive through most small towns to the next town. If worst comes to the worst you can sleep over and charge over night with an overnight charger you bring with you.
