  2. Engineering should always be evaluated at a price point. Chinese EVs seem at first glance to be amazing engineering at an amazing price point, until you understand how heavily subsidized they are by the CCP. I think real subsidies compared to Tesla are near 50% while Tesla is subsidized maybe 15%. In other words, Rawlinson is right.
