Hummer - attention. Cybertruck - all 3.

This is the hard part that almost bankrupted Tesla. Going from a low volume high price tag car that is unprofitable to something they can make in volume and sell for a profit. To make matters worse they need to compete with Tesla who got a massive head start doing this sort of thing properly. Rivian needs that Apple buyout or the odds are stacked against it.

With no paint to fade, it can just be parked in the driveway, if you have one.

I actually like it. Still prefer CT.

No doubt. I think the original estimate of 40k (50k inflation adjusted) was only a little off - I think in the future (maybe 3 years) we will see the base model sell for $55k in todays money - maybe $60k in 2027. Holding it back is 1) Interest rates so high right now 2) 4680 dry cell ramp 3) Huge backlog 4) It takes a couple years to drop costs of a new line, especially labour costs.

It was fixed before the recall. Like a 1000 units had to go back to get a single screw put in.

Profit looks into the past. Share price looks into the future. What are Toyota going to sell when the various EV mandates kick in? Toyota is the greatest car company of the last 50 years but that does not guarantee the next 50.

1500 vs 2500 - how is that triple?

Cybertruck is currently only selling the 'suburbanite version' due to demand. In a couple years they will sell the utility version for less money. Self driving will make a huge difference - you can work on a laptop or the phone while you drive long distances. Also, a zero fuel cost could be a thing for a working truck.

Ahead for now. Cybertruck is going to ramp and ramp and ramp and ramp - until they are more common than F150s of any engine type. Cheaper Cybertruck versions will arrive in a couple months.
