X) aside from that.. it's actually not that crazy to "raise".. you mean "befriend" more than anything... an animal in the wild. most american indians didn't break their horses. they incentivized and befriended them. for another example, you could definitely get to know, say, a flock of quail by just hanging out, observing area flora while they graze, and eventually be able to tell which eggs they want and which they don't intend to incubate. then sure, eat the eggs. people and animals can communicate FAR more extensively than your average slavebrained dupe knows. so there's actually nothing "extreme" about it, but peoples who are completely divorced from nature feel that it is.
