We should be real careful not to Old Economy Steve people who are having a hard time and need assistance or stimulus. I've heard older people say that the stimulus made it so people don't have to go to work.. lol. Like, sweeties? that amount of money is not enough to let you quit your job. That money was originally stolen from the people, so really we're just getting back what was always ours. It's like a cat burglar coming into your house and taking your crap and then coming over later and giving you a fraction of it back. It's not generous and it doesn't make it so you don't have to go to your job or two.
One time, I was on my 14th hour of work for the day at my second job, and some old moron came in yapping about how in my day we took whatever job we could get. Wow how fascinating. That's not what I'm doing right now or anything. Working to help your stupid ass for 9 bucks an hour.
I told him to educate himself on inflation. He tried to argue and I repeated myself: EDUCATE YOURSELF ON INFLATION, OLD FOOL. haha.
The problem is that the identities of a lot of older folks are enmeshed in the idea that they have had it worse than anyone else, that the historical events that happened in their day are the biggest baddest events there have ever been.
Not true, especially now that the fake pandemic went down. That was hands down the biggest and craziest thing to go down in any of our memories. And before.
The Gutenberg Press was the biggest thing to happen toward the liberation of the human race up until that point. The internet is the new Gutenberg press, and even more so, so we are at the greatest point in our history as a species. And the millennials/gen y prime years coincide. Same with Gen Y and then gen Z and gen Alpha if we're looking at the big picture.
Anyway, the Krusty dusties can get over themselves and start cluing into reality. Or not. But we are moving onward and upward. Millennials and friends are boat rockers. We rock the Bootleggers right overboard and keep on sailing, picking up speed. :-)
