  2. Oh yeah, another Russia-expert entered the chat. Dude, the only thing that can realistically happen is Chechen republic leaving. And everybody in Moscow will be happy about it (not joking). There are some regions in Siberia like Tyva and Buryatia that for the most part aren't ethnically Russian (they do have a lot of mixed families though), but they have no economy to speak of (yes, they don't even have lots of oil field or gas there) so their only choice for a decent life is to join China (is it really better though? They don't speak Chinese).

  3.  @jesustyronechrist2330  I don't know what will happen, there's a lot of different scenarios, collapse of RF being one of the most unlikely ones. Almost as unlikely as Russia capturing Kyiv. And imperialism is bad, of course. However, Siberia didn't show any meaningful signs of separatism in the 90's after the USSR collapse, when economy was 1000 times worse and there was a chain reaction of "leaving the USSR" among republics. Since then they became even more ethnically mixed and economically dependant on other regions of Russia because of how market economy works (it's not only oil and gas, believe it or not, there are services and buiseness of different kinds). Do they like Moscow (politically)? No. Nobody likes Moscow in Russia. Do they want autonomy? Yes, definitely. Do they want to be a separate state? Some might, but definitely not a majority. Majority wants real federalism and real democracy, that's it. And people in Moscow also want it, and not an aggressive expansionism-driven empire.
