Roman's family is still in Russia and can't leave. If he starts speaking against Putin too openly he may put them in danger. Look up "Yuri Zhdanov" and his situation.

@captainbalderdash5412 Yeah, people have been doing it for years when value of life wasn't that important OR they were dying from hunger anyway. It's way different in 21st century in a country with educated people who don't die from hunger.

@ralucachelaru9541 Yes, i do live in Russia. I just don't have a TV and watch our opposition on the internet. I support Navalny since 2016.

@ralucachelaru9541 Yeah but it's very limited and kind of hard to find if you don't search for it specifically.

@captainbalderdash5412 Yes i know that, but the fact is that it was even able to escalate. Putin wouldn't allow that. It's mass arrests right away and blocked roads/squares - people just can't gather anywhere to begin with.

By the way, what do you mean by "not all people want dirty russian money"? Do you actually want this money to go back to Russia where they can be used to kill ukrainians?

Are professional killers that helpless though? I'm pretty sure if done in a sneaky way nuclear threat isn't an issue.

@ralucachelaru9541 I'm from Russia and i'm 100% sure this won't result in a nuclear disaster. People around Putin are afraid of nukes and they probably would be happy if he just "vanishes".

@captainbalderdash5412 It's one thing to endanger yourself - another to endanger your family members. Any sane person won't do it.

@captainbalderdash5412 They didn't have Putin in power also. Look at Lukashenko and Belarus - Lukashenko is way closer to Putin in terms of repressions.
1
@captainbalderdash5412 The reason why Ukraine succeeded is that it was already pretty close to democracy with free media etc, and also Yanukovich didn't have such power as Putin or Lukashenko.
1
@captainbalderdash5412 "if i was russian, i would blah blah" - yeah, you know how arrogant you sound? Russia is a peak autocracy with a lot of factors in play. Come live here for a couple of years and then we'll talk. Or better yet, come here with your whole family. Reminder: 15 years of jail for calling it a war and not "special operation"

@captainbalderdash5412 Also, it all escalated after Yanukovich ran away. Lukashenko didn't run and mass protests eventually died off due to mass repressions. Putin obviously has nowhere to run now.
