  5. In one of his early books, he called Communist China a great threat to "Traditional Russia". I don't remember what he thinks about Islam, probably he thinks co-existance is possible?.. Since muslims are also very Traditional, in their own way. Either way, he's not a "Putin's brain" at all, and he is more known in the West than in Russia itself. I'm a Russian living in Russia btw.
