So, an article about a soldier's death in a local newspaper also counts (there's a lot of such articles especially in a faraway regions of Russia). I agree that the number shown there will be smaller than the real losses, you probably should multiply it by 2 (but not by 3 or 4 though). When he said that it's casket losses, he probably meant that they don't count losses such as heavy injuries, i think.

  41. The US wants peace talks so it pushes Ukraine to do a final blow without proper equipment. Then they will say to Ukraine "look, we did everything we could, you did everything you could, so let's have peace talks now". The US wants to switch it's attention to China/Taiwan issue and domestic elections. There was 0 chance of peace talks without this bloody offensive, because that would mean absolute political death to Zelenskyy & his party. Now Zelenskyy can justify peace talks with Russia to some degree by saying "we did everything we could".
